Pair of Original Maison Baguès Gilt Metal, Glass, and Rock Crystal Parrot-Form Two-Light Wall Sconces A pair of wall sconces formed with a vertical gilt metal backplate supporting a parrot rendered in rock crystal glass, shown perched in profile at the center of each composition. The parrot is positioned above a tapering, faceted rock crystal glass shaft terminating in a gilt metal tip. From the central structure extend two candle arms, arranged symmetrically and rising outward to support cylindrical candle nozzles. Each sconce is organized around a flowering vine motif that frames the bird and arms, creating an open and branching silhouette designed for wall mounting. The decoration consists of molded and cut rock crystal elements applied throughout the structure. The parrot bodies are carved with feather detailing across the wings, tail, and head, secured by gilt metal mounts. The scrolling vines are formed of gilt metal rods wrapped with crystal bead chains and fitted with crystal leaves carved with veining. Crystal flowers with petal-form lobes and faceted centers are interspersed along the branches. Faceted crystal drops are suspended beneath the candle pans and along the arms, attached by metal loops.
