A Fabulous Pair of French 20th Century Black Amethyst Cut Crystal Anannas/Pineapple shaped and Gilt Bronze Mounted Lamps. Each lamp consists of a base and a central body section composed of two stacked crystal elements, both shaped in a pineapple or ananas form. The crystal sections are covered in a uniform diamond-faceted relief, giving them a textured surface. The black amethyst crystal sections are mounted onto a gilt bronze base. The base is circular with a stepped profile and features a reeded edge. A gilt bronze collar with an acanthus leaf motif connects the lower and upper crystal sections. A narrow gilt bronze disc is positioned between the two crystal sections. Above the upper crystal section, a bronze column extends upwards to support the lamp fittings. The column has a patinated finish and ends in a decorative gilt bronze finial with a fluted and lobed design. The lamp fittings include a double socket assembly with pull chains.
