A very unusual and quite rare set of four antique French Louis XVI period, three-light wall lights/appliqués, (sconces). Each having a Hercules mask to initialize each arm, with an ormolu urn and flame above all. The bronze finely cast and then hand-chiseled with the finest detail, and finally enhanced with two-toned matte and burnished doré bronze, circa late 1700s, Paris. It is very difficult to see an original set of four sconces that were made over two hundred years ago, and still remain as a family. This item is sold in pairs. Each pair contains 2 sconces and each pair is a set. This item can either be purchased as 1 set or 2 sets. Measures: Overall height 20” Width 14.5” Depth 9.25” (exposure).
