Large Pair of Hollywood Regency/Modern Geometric Cut and Hand Polished Rock Crystal & Bronze Candlesticks, Maison Baguès, Possible to convert to lamps! Each candlestick is constructed in a tall, columnar form composed of stacked rock crystal elements arranged along a central vertical axis. The structure rises from a stepped Hexagon shaped base with chamfered corners, surmounted by a sequence of faceted baluster and tapering Rock crystal sections. A circular drip pan is positioned below the candle socket, carved from a single disc of rock crystal with a flat upper plane and beveled edge. The uppermost candle cup is cylindrical with a gently molded profile. Throughout the shaft, the rock crystal elements alternate between faceted and smoothly contoured sections, creating clear transitions between each structural component. Gilt bronze mounts articulate the joins, including narrow collars, leaf castings, and a continuous scalloped border running along the perimeter of the base. The pair of rock crystal and bronze mounted candlesticks is assembled using carved quartz elements and cast bronze fittings.
