A Spectacular Pair of 19th Century Italian Painted and Gilt Columnar Pedestals. This pair of Louis XVI-style painted and gilt wooden columns features rounded, fluted tops with gilt floral motifs between the fluting. The tops rest on a pair of laurel wreaths which are further gilt and adorned in 24K gold. The columns rest on squared plinths painted in deep royal blue, and the bases are finished in a warm mocha color. The design reflects the classical proportions and ornamentation typical of the Louis XVI style. Italy, Circa: 1800's These spectacular pedestals were part of the collection of renowned Gianni Versace.
