A Fantastic Pair of Art Deco Gilt Bronze Mounted Black Lacquer Marble Top Side Tables/Coffee Tables, Attributed to Jansen. Each table features black-lacquered wooden bases, white marble tops, and bronze mounts. They consist of round marble insert with natural veining, set flush within a black-painted wooden frame. A pierced bronze gallery with repeating arch motifs surrounds the perimeter of the top, secured with evenly spaced bronze fasteners. The tables rest on four curved legs extending outward from the frame, tapering slightly toward the bottom. These legs are attached to the frame with bronze-mounted joints. A shaped lower wooden shelf connects the legs, providing additional structural support. The black-painted finish on the wood is consistent throughout, with a smooth, polished surface. The use of contrasting materials and restrained detailing aligns with Jansen’s design approach.
