This painting is by Walasse Ting (1929–2010), a Chinese-American artist known for his vibrant use of color and expressive brushwork. The piece is signed with the artist's seal in the lower left corner. Ting’s work blends Abstract Expressionism with Chinese brush painting, often depicting women, birds, and nature in bold compositions. The painting features a standing female figure in a deep purple robe, decorated with small parrots in green, yellow, and blue.
